Khartoum 11-21-2022 (SUNA) – The activities of the first national championship for weightlifting and swimming, organized by the Sudanese Special Olympics, were launched yesterday at the Nile International Club in Khartoum, under the auspices of the Engineers Gymnasium and the Nile International Club in Khartoum, with the honor of Professor Ruqaya Al-Sayed, President of the Sudanese Special Olympics, and Dr. Yasser Mohamed Musa, National Director. Sudanese Special Olympics.
The program began with a parade queue for sea scouts, missions and states participating in the tournament, numbering (8) states, namely Khartoum – Gezira – North Kordofan – Gedaref – Sennar – the Red Sea and the Nile River.
The director of the Olympics, Dr. Musa welcomed the audience and announced the opening of the tournament’s activities. He gave an enlightenment about the tournament and general features of the Olympiad and external participations. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the delegations and sponsors of the tournament.
The audience witnessed a strong competition for weightlifting and swimming, during which the champions presented a strong competition that won the satisfaction and approval of the audience. Today, the championship competitions continue with the honor of the federal and state ministers of youth and sports, and ambassadors from sister countries.
