Civilian 11-22-2022 (SUNA) – The Urban Planning Committee in the state of Gezira, in its meeting this morning headed by Mr. Fadl Al-Mawla Abu Salif Al-Bashir, the Minister of Urban Planning in charge, approved many development and service projects distributed to all localities.
Abu Salif renewed the committee’s commitment to taking decisions and procedures through legal, technical and engineering controls, and affirming the principle of Shura and transparency. Institutions, competent authorities, ministries, and localities, and establishing an administrative approach that starts from the planning committees in the localities and at a specific time.
For his part, Eng. Ali Khalifa, the committee’s rapporteur, referred to approving projects that touched the needs and desires of citizens through the decisions of localities, taking into account the public interest, and setting the necessary precautions for the expansion of horizontal housing, pointing to the necessity of collective and scientific performance in order to achieve the desired goals, and drew attention to the role of the committee and its competence towards preparing general policies for urban planning And housing, land allocation and use are in harmony with the economic development plans, adding that one of the committee’s tasks is to prepare general policies for urban planning, housing and land use allocation in accordance with the state’s economic and social development plans.
