Khartoum 11/22/2022 (SUNA) – Today, Omdurman Municipality inaugurated the national campaign to vaccinate against Covid-19, which comes under the slogan (Vaccination is protection for you and those around you) in the presence of the Executive Director of Omdurman Locality, Mr. Faisal Hassan Hussein Tambel and Mr. Musa Babiker, Director of Administrative Affairs and Civil Service In the locality, the director of the local health system, Ms. Siham Ibrahim Al-Hajj, the departments of health promotion, primary care and immunization in the locality and the relevant authorities and jurisdiction.
The Executive Director of the locality explained the importance of reaching the target segments of the campaign from the age of (18) years from the age groups and above. The director of the local health system in the locality added that the expanded vaccination program with Covid 19 vaccines targets population centers, schools, boarding schools, cells and various local sectors, and that the vaccination operations are carried out through a number of health centers in the locality alongside the mobile teams, noting that the vaccines used in the campaign are (Sinopharm, Pfizer, and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine).
And she indicated that vaccination operations are one of the most successful preventive programs against infection and limiting the spread of the Corona virus.
