The witness added that there was a statement that they wanted to deliver to the radio, and that the late Lieutenant Colonel Abdel Moneim Hassan Ali Karrar and Younis Mahmoud went with the statement to the radio, indicating that the only objection to the coup was from the commander of the Corps of Engineers, Major General Fadl, while the rest of the officers agreed to support the change, indicating that the period before the coup It witnessed attempts to seize power, where a number of officers with the rank of brigadier general were arrested, including Ahmed Fadl and Al-Zubayr Muhammad Salih.
