Khartoum 11-22-2022 (SUNA) Lieutenant General Ahmed Ibrahim Mufaddal, Director General of the General Intelligence Service, said that the convening of the meeting of the regional coordination committee of security and intelligence leaders in the countries of the Great Lakes region today in Khartoum comes in light of rapid and successive political, security and economic developments at the international and regional levels. And it has a great impact on the African people.
Mufaddal explained, when addressing the opening session, that the Russian-Ukrainian war has an impact on political alliances, food and energy supplies, and negatively affects the African continent.
Mufaddal congratulated the participants on the success of the meeting, praising the transparency that the meeting dealt with in order to reach what serves the issues of security and peace in the Lakes region, stressing the commitment of Sudan and the General Intelligence in providing assistance to implement the recommendations of the meeting.
Mufaddal thanked Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, for his address to the opening session and his support for the efforts of the Lakes region to achieve security and stability in the African continent.
