Khartoum 11-22-2022 (SUNA) – The Minister of Energy and Oil, Eng. Muhammad Abdullah Mahmoud, discussed the joint files between Sudan and Belarus in the fields of energy, oil, laboratories, research, training and electricity, in addition to other economic fields such as agriculture, grain silos, industry and others.
This came during his meeting in his office today with the non-resident Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt and Sudan, Mr. Sergey Trentiev, where the Sudanese Minister of Energy and Oil headed the joint Sudanese-Belarusian ministerial committees.
The Minister of Energy and Oil said, “We will work together to implement joint cooperation projects, to remove obstacles to their implementation, and to seek to continue convening the fifth round of the Sudanese-Belarusian joint ministerial committee, which has been repeatedly postponed due to the conditions the country and the world went through as a result of the Corona pandemic.” And updating it in preparation for signing it in the first quarter of next year, stressing support and strengthening joint cooperation in all fields and making efforts to make the fifth round a success in order to achieve common interests between the two peoples. He thanked Belarus for the humanitarian aid it provided to Sudan, which contains forty tons of medical, food and shelter materials, praising the development Bilateral relations between Sudan and Belarus.
For his part, the Ambassador of Belarus to Egypt and Sudan, Mr. Sergey Trentiev, said, “We are ready to support the efforts between the two countries. We are interested in the energy sector, in addition to other common areas between us. We have cooperation through the committees held in Khartoum and Belarus, and we will work with each other to achieve the interests of the two countries. We are very interested in implementing the proposed projects between us.” In the field of energy, agriculture and the private sector between the two countries and other projects.
