Organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (MOA), the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation (KIADPAI), and the Jordan Dates Association (JODA), in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Center for Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), the Center International Network for Biosaline Agriculture (ICBA), Arab Organization for Agricultural Development (AOAD), Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Zones and Dry Lands (ACSAD), Association of Agricultural Research Centers in the Middle East and North Africa (AARINENA) International Network for the Development of Palm Cultivation and Date Production in the Middle East and North Africa (IDPGN) and the Emirates Palm Friends Society (DPFS).

The opening ceremony was attended by a number of members of the diplomatic corps residing in Jordan and a large crowd of researchers, farm owners, date producers and companies in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. During the opening ceremony, the winners of the Jordanian Dates Competition in its fourth session 2022 were honored, in addition to honoring the influential figures in the date palm sector in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. A memorandum of understanding was also signed between the General Secretariat of the Khalifa International Award for Date Palm and Agricultural Innovation, the Jordanian Dates Association, and the Center for the Promotion of Imports from Countries In addition, the Jordanian Dates Association signed two memorandums of understanding with the Jordanian-Palestinian Company for Marketing Agricultural Products and the Jordanian Enterprise Development Corporation.
