Khartoum, November 22, 2022 AD (SUNA) – A coordination meeting was held today, headed by Bahri Locality in Khartoum State, between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock in the state and Bahri Locality, in the presence of Dr. Sir Al-Khatim Abdul Latif, Director General of the Ministry, and Mr. Abdeen Salman Majzoub, Executive Director of the locality.
The meeting included the directors of departments in the ministry and the locality, where the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture explained that the aim of the meeting was to coordinate between the ministry and the locality to advance the field of agriculture and livestock, especially since the Bahri locality is full of agricultural land and livestock and has many projects that supply the state’s markets with agricultural products, both agricultural and animal, in addition to other products. issued.
The Director General of Agriculture called for the necessity of developing agricultural projects in the locality and issuing research certificates for extension and veterinary centers. The Executive Director of the locality stressed the need for coordination between the two sides to focus efforts in the field of agriculture and livestock and security to review all encroachments on agricultural projects, pointing out that the Bahri locality is characterized by a wide agricultural area that contributes greatly to supplying the state’s markets with vegetables, fruits and dairy, explaining that the locality pays great attention dams and works to purify them to contribute to harvesting water and benefiting from it in agriculture and grazing. The two parties agreed to establish joint campaigns to combat non-regulated slaughtered animals (Kiri) in the local area.
